Steve, the bandleader, composer and cofounder of the Saturday June Band has been entertaining in the Midwest for 20 years. His performing credits include stints with Ooze Magazine, the Pace, Fred Winston band and Chariot ( a band which also featured a fellow by the name of Eddie Vedder). Steve and Saturday June Band have performed at Chicagofest, Taste of Chicago, Arlington Race Track, Navy Pier, the Park West and Ravinia , as well as Notre Dame, Northwestern and Marquette Universities and played for both the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bulls. His bands have shared the bill with such notables as Steve Goodman, the Turtles, the Stranglers, X, the Outlaws, and the Kings. In addition, his guitar and vocal credits include playing live with Hound Dog Taylor and recording with Richie Havens. Chicago Magazine labeled his band “One of the Good Ones” J records (Alicia Keyes, Luther Vandross) VP of A&R, James Diener, has described Steve as a “strong musician and solid composer”. He is currently recording his second album.

Jami Dawn
Vocals and Percussion

The Saturday June Band is proud to feature Jami Dawn up front on vocals. Her deep soulful voice has electrified an audience on many an occasion. A talented songwriter and guitar player in her own right, Jami lends the band an extra dimension with her singing and dynamic stage presence. She is a veteran of the Chicago acoustic scene, often appearing at Uncommon Ground with artists like Crystal Bowersox. Her song “Moments” was recently chosen for a new compilation CD of notable Chicago artists.

Bob Wolkotte
Lead Guitar and Vocals

Since the age of 12, Bob has been playing professionally in bands throughout the Chicagoland area and tours across America. Bob's powerful and emotive voice is used to great effect in this band. Singing lead and background vocals, he has the knack to make you feel every word he sings. Formerly our bass player, he now plays lead guitar in the Saturday June Band.

Steve Woods
Keyboards and Vocals

Steve Woods is a classically trained musician who has found his inner rock n roll self. Adept at any and all types of music, Steve brings Saturday June Band a world of musical knowledge and expertise. He currently teaches music theory at Northeastern University and has been working as the music director at a number of local churches.

Jim Glay
Drums

Jim has been playing drums for 60 years and has studied under Max Mariash, a graduate of the Roy Knapp percussion school in Chicago. This included graduates such as Gene Krupa, Louie Bellson, and Hal Blaine. A master of his craft, Jim has played drums in a variety of genres from jazz to German dance bands. That said, his specialty and passion is pop and rock n roll. As a long term member of the Saturday June Band, Jim brings his talents to cities throughout the midwest for thousands of lucky listeners and fans every year. A true musician, Jim teaches drums to the next generation to ensure that the music lives on!

Rob Mason
Lead Guitar

Rob is a multi-instrumentalist and expert guitarist who has played with the Saturday June Band since its formation 20+ years ago. A lover of Jeff Beck, the influence shows through in every show Rob plays. From his smooth rhythm to his classy and smooth solo licks, Rob is a world class musician and guitarist who could play with virtually any band. You're likely to catch Rob playing one of the many PRS Guitars in his collection, and man does he play them well!

Toni Randle
Bass Guitar and Keyboard

Toni is a Chicago native and multi-instrumentalist who has played with the likes of West End 40, Tre Music, Thompson Community Singers, and the Tim Grant Experience. A Fodera endorsed artist, Toni is the newest addition to the Saturday June Band and has really taken their sound to the next level. If you listen carefully to Toni's playing, you'll hear tasteful licks inspired by some of Toni's influences such as Earth Wind and Fire, Chic, Marcus Miller, and Victor Wooten.
